The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed the placement. I found it to be engaging, full of challenges and mentally stimulating.
I was surprised by the level of responsibility guven to me from my collegues from the outset of my internship. I was trusted with client work, and given space to complete tasks independently, with help when required.
Whenever I asked for it, support was galdly given by my superiors.
It varied, the start ofmy internship was extremely busy with time critical work, which then died down. However, I was given projects to complete throughout the internship, which kept me busy during quiet periods.
I was gievn a significant amount of responsibility, especially with regards to client work. I was allowed time to complete tasks, and then was provided with feedback once my work was reviewed.
The internship gave me an invaluable insight into working within such a prestigous companies, with great values. There was particular emphasis placed on collaboration, and I feel that my team-based skills have been significantly furthered. My time orgainsational skills have been drastically improved, along with my confidence in myself to work independently on important tasks.
The Company
There was a positve, all-inclusive atmosphere in both of the offices I worked in.
The organistion was second to none, I was always provided with work, and went on several training days to enhance my personal skills.
As stated above, I was sent on numerous training courses during the internship with furtered my skill-set.
Company Parties/Events
very appealing, I would very much like to be a part of Grant Thornton in the future.
The Culture
There was a very good scoail aspect, there were regular after work events.
quite high, however this was more than covered by my pay.
very good
Since the internship was only 6 weeks, I didn't get to participate in any activities, however I was made aware of such opportunities.
