The Role
I was involved with a variety of different projects, getting to grips with all the different areas of actuarial work.
My colleagues would constantly be checking up on me and making sure that I had enough work to be getting on with.
Somebody was always on hand to help out with any problems, no matter how trivial, and I was given excellent training and support throughout.
There was never a day where I was without work and there was always more projects that I could get involved with when my workload was low.
I was involved with real client work from the first week and continued on to do work on some important projects.
I have learnt a considerable amount about the pensions industry and the type of work that an actuary can expect to be involved with.
The Company
Everyone in the office was very friendly and more than happy to have a chat.
Everything was well organised and we were given a schedule at the start that showed us all the different types of work we would be getting involved with over the internship.
We were given considerable amounts of training throughout and were involved with important meetings and training sessions with some of the more senior members of the team.

Company Parties/Events
They invest a lot of time and effort in all of their employees and the chances to develop yourself are endless.
The Culture
There were several socials throughout the internship as well as a trip to the pub every Friday evening,
Accommodation was mostly paid for by the company and so to were many of the social events.
There was not much of a nightlife in the Reigate area, however London was only half an hour away.
There were only a few activities outside of work to get involved with, mostly sports.
