About You
The best thing about KPMG are its people. Everyone was approachable and inclusive and genuinely interested in my success.
Everyone treated me with respect and always made out some time to teach me new things and listen to what I had to say.
I was assigned a buddy and a people manager. My buddy helped me familiarise myself with the rest of the team and guided me throughout the vacation programme.
I learned about different accounting practices and developed analytical, numerical and people skills, which will indeed help me with my degree and in my career and life beyond.
The Company
The programme was structured by providing me with a list of objectives that I should be working towards. There was no fixed steps that I had to perform but this was good as it allowed to engage with everyone and contribute in different ways.
My team in Transaction Services had a great culture of working and having fun together. We would spend most of the day focusing on the work to hand but from time to time we would joke about things and talk about something completely random.
