    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed the social aspect of the internship including the weekly intern meet ups. The highlight was definitely the weekend away to Bradenham, which was not only useful but very fun. I didn't really enjoy the work I was given- I found it very tedious

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My colleagues were very nice to me however I felt like I was an inconvenience to them as they were quite busy most of the time so I didn't really feel comfortable asking them too many questions

    3/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I rarely saw my manager as I was out on client sights a lot. My first supervisor was very supportive, however my second supervisor was not very supportive and made me feel a bit like an inconvenience.

    3/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was never without work, however most of the work was very tedious so I struggled to focus on it and found it very boring

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given responsibility to organise a fundraiser and the odd job but I was never really allowed to take much initiative

    2/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The presentation and networking training given was invaluable

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The central office had a good and friendly atmosphere however the client office was quite awkward and quiet

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The internship was fairly well organised, they organised many activities for us however I felt that the day to day activities could be planned better to be more consistent across the interns. I would also have liked it to be longer so I could have mor etime to experience other areas of the company and not just a single department

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company invested a great deal into me, giving me a lot of training including at Bradenham and in the induction week. I think this could perhaps have been extended to through the entire programme with more regular training/catchup sessions

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • National Travel

    Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I really like the company and its ethos and I think it has really great career opportunities with the opportunity to quickly move up the career ladder. I think it is also a supportive environment that would help me to succeed

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The social scene was excellent, all of the interns got along really well and I thought there was a good effort to mix interns and graduates in activities such as darts with interns/buddies and also I though Bradenham was a good opportunity to meet other national interns and socialise with them

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I was based in the London area and it is very expensive to live in, social activities are also expensive in central London so luckily the company paid for several social events!!

    1/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Nightlife in London is really good although extremely expensive!!! Got to experience a good range of Nightlife while on my internship with the other interns and London has a good mix of different clubs to suit everyone's preferences .

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes I got involved with the Spilling the Beans trainee blog and also the interns organised a fundraiser and had social events outside of work. I didn't really have time for other activities outside of work

    4/5
