About You
Really enjoyed the placement, everyone has been really friendly and I've been kept busy which makes my work more rewarding. The head office within London has been such a fun place to work and I have really enjoyed getting involved in the different projects which are being set for me and learning more about what is going on in the London property market.
Having a month within one specific team has allowed me to get to know the team and get to understand the job I am supposed to be doing. This has meant that by the end of the month the work I am producing has felt useful and really helpful to the team.
Everyone has been really helpful if I've had any problems I've felt happy to ask for help. My graduate has been especially helpful and has helped me overcome any problem I have had. The fellow summer scheme students have also been really helpful in having someone to talk to about their experiences and what they have been doing.
This has provided a real insight into property for me, allowing me to choose my career path more carefully and with more insight. As a non-cog student I don't have a background in property therefore this has allowed me to learn more about it. I now know I definitely want to go into property and to study for a Masters. Savills will helpfully assist my masters degree as I have achieved some market knowledge.
The Company
Lots was organised for the summer students to take part in, which made it a really fun and helpful experience. The PR department have structured the insight well in order for us to maximise our opportunity here at Savills. By providing us with lots of talks it has allowed us an insight to the entire company and the social events have allowed me to interact with my colleagues.
Really fun atmosphere surrounds the team. Because the team is quite young it means people really seem to get on within teams which makes the whole environment stronger an it becomes a place I would really like to work. I have attended several events with the team, such as the team summer party which was a good opportunity to meet lots of people and interact with my team.
There has been several opportunities for us to learn more about other teams, but a sit down learning day was not provided. This would have been potentially helpful to learn more about the tools different teams use. I would have found a little more training helpful in order for me to do my job more successfully.
The insight has been really helpful in making me know that I would like to work for the company. I have interacted with so many people here and everyone seems to really enjoy their job and I like the atmosphere which surrounds Savills. Ideally I can see myself working within this company.
I have attended a range of events and met such a breadth of people which allows me to understand why I like the Savills company culture. I like the fact that people work hard, but do so while having fun. There is a real team spirit within the individual teams which makes the job fun and having the support network surrounding you in more stressful time really appeals.

Everything Else
The pay was relatively strong, but difficult when one is paying for rent in London, therefore the pay didn't cover my expenses.
Networking was successfully pushed within the firm and I got to meet lots of people ranging from directors to other graduates. This gave me a wide ranging overview of the company and the different people within the company and it allowed me to see that I would really like to work for the company as everyone was very helpful.
There were good networking and socialising opportunities within the firm. I met lots of people within my team and it was positive having other summer scheme pupils to share the experience with and enjoy a drink after work with. The organised networking opportunities were a really good chance to meet directors of other teams and gain an understanding of what they do.
I didn't really find out much about the opportunities of sports and other activities Savills employees do outside work. I spoke to several people about the tams which they play on for Savills.
Definitely. If they were interested in property this would be a great opportunity to learn about more to do with the industry and to meet like minded people all while having a lot of fun.
