The Role
Generally positive experience. I enjoyed it and do not regret applying at all.
It was a problem at first, but this really comes down to your relationship management skills, you need to get along with people from the first day in the office, find out what they are working on, etc.
Active support all the time. Again, depends on yourself, i.e. you need to go out and ask questions untill you fully udnerstand. But most of the people in my team were really helpful.
Wasn't really busy at first, but then as I went deeper and deeper I got that 'perfect balance'
I did minor/solo projects at first, so I was my own boss. Then I was assigned to a project and did my part - of course noone will give you a Project Manager's job because of the high responsibility and one's lack of skills and knowledge.
Really improved here, as I developed a lot of skills, both tangible and soft skills.
The Company
Both formal and informal. I thought it is a suitable for an Investment Bank (of course you won't have a pool and a table tennis!)
Very well organised, lots of events, networking, going out, etc. 10/10.
We had a lot of networking with seniors, encouraged to workshadow, every week there were senior speaker sessions, etc.
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
Healthcare from home
I still have 1 week to go, but hopefully I will get an offer :-)
The Culture
Absolutely perfect
With the wage you get it is really affordable
Not in my area, but literally 10 minutes of tube and you have everything you need. Depends what office are you in, because JP Morgan has a bunch of those.
CSR programme, other social activities (almost every week)
