The Role
I was busy, had interesting work, and rapid exposure to real experiences
People were so friendly, the team was welcoming and I was treated as though I was actually a grad
There are so many networks of support, and there is always someone to make sure you're getting on ok - from management, to pastoral care, to peers.
Sometimes internships can feel redundant because you never actually have any work, but I was treated like I was actually starting work there, put on projects and invited to comment and offer my thoughts which was great.
I was stretched and challenged, starting slowly at first, until I eventually presented in meetings and spoke to clients. The work was interesting and exciting, and I loved having the responsibility of offering my own thoughts and work.
The skills I've started to learn will certainly help me in future applications and future work. When first applying for internships I felt like I had no clue what they were looking for or what to expect, but now I'm confident in my abilities and sure I know what to look for in jobs and what the employers want.
The Company
It was really friendly, with an open plan and manager and grads sitting together. People were so keen to grab a coffee and no one was patronising.
It was great, my team gave me experience and work straight away, events for interns were set up throughout the placement. I got to meet a massive range of people, and was really involved.
On the first day I went to a personal improvement talk on self confidence, and throughout the program there has been a concerted effort to teach me skills, make sure I understand the work, and to encourage me to take part in activities and projects I could enjoy.

Very, it's a great place to work
The Culture
Yes, the interns organised loads of evenings out, and we had a lot of fun. There are so many places around and we were really encouraged to socialise.
In Canary Wharf it is expectedly high
Bars and restaurants, a bit further away for clubs
I know there are sports clubs, but I didn't join because I was only there for 4 weeks
