About You
Softwire has a beautifull office, a good kitchen, and very supportive staff. The morale events were fun. The kitchen cooked great vegetarian meals at lunchtime (as well as decent meat-meals)
I was here for a training internship, so I was not really expecting to contribute to a longterm project. sadly, this was completely founded. Our project was essentially recycled after we left. Thurdermore, my contributions were often not merged into the main file for days after I had submitted them.
I was able to ask my task manager any questions I needed to ask. However, I was often not told things unless I asked. For instance: that I should structure my program using classes.
learned what it is like to work as a softare engeneer, which I am very glad about. Thurdermore, I learned a decent amount of programming skill.
The Company
The insight was not structured badly enough for me to notice the sturcture, and not well enough for me to be in awe of it.
The atmosphere was great. Everyone was really friendly. There is a goo amount of light and fresh air in the office.
a team of 3 interns received support from one member of staff, during a period of 4 weeks.
Though I don't know what it's like to work on a commercial project, I can make a good guess from my experience and conversations with members of staff. I generally know the rest.
I understand most of the culture. I do not understand how the employees see the relationship between them and the company. Do they think the company buys their time?
The content of most days was programming, which was very helpfull.
Everything Else
I was reinbursed enough.
I met with other employees. I wouldnt call it networking.
There were loads of opportunities to have fun together.
Outside of work? after working hours, I went home. There was fun during office hours.
Yes.
