The Role
I have been exposed to a real office setting which is hugely different from what I used to in the university. This is really a valuable and enjoyable. However, I think I need more help to get started during the first few weeks, during which time I nearly had no idea how to proceed.
Team members are excellent. They spent their precious time with me and are willing to teach me hand-by-hand. Most enjoyable.
Managers are busy, but they gave me enough support and pointed out right directions. Buddy is very helpful, who made me intern experience smoothier.
During first few weeks, reading documentation and background information was not really interesting. However, from mid-intern, I have been assigned more tasks and have been busy.
Assigned a task to fix an issue in production system. Real responsible. Hopefully can see the impact I made on the business!
Theories learnt in university applied to real office settings. Good experience to work for a real software development process team.
The Company
Excellent team members. Interesting stories going on all the time. Treats are bonus!
Some feedback sessions with recruitment team. Not much information from them otherwise.
Three day induction not really enough. A week or more especially technology training would be more beneficial.
If you are interested in investment banking, go for the big!
The Culture
I am not working in the main site. Few communication with peers.
Not sure, living at home.
Not interested in nightlife at all.
Yes, buddy has pointed out a number of opportunities and helped me through.
