The Role
It has been a great internship in a very comfortable environment that even made me want to stay for longer. The work day flew by with a lot of events happening, as there were many things to get involved with. I can say that I really enjoyed being in the office and made good friends.
Everybody was truly helpful and very friendly, taking the time out of their busy schedules to explain tasks in details and willing to repeat themselves numerous times. It felt great to be invited to external events and chat about my colleagues' experiences. In general all the people are very likable and charismatic, with personalities that stand out.
Every time I got given a task there was an opportunity to try to work it out myself, which I value because that way I could actually learn. If I wanted a further explanation or help it was always provided by my supervisor so in that sense the level of support was very high.
Busyness would depend on the team I was working with, but in general I always had something to do or it was totally fine to ask others if they need any of my help. Also, I would say I had enough free time to get involved with extra intern projects.
Responsibility would greatly depend, as my tasks ranged from printing to having my own project that included documenting my findings and presenting them to an executive director. The teams would always try to keep you occupied, but would give you more challenging work if they have time to teach you.
The skills that I developed would assist me greatly in the future as I can already feel the progress in terms of communication and confidence of approaching people (either in person or via email). In the last year of my degree I am sure that my ability to work in a team and prioritise will greatly improve.
The Company
General atmosphere is very relaxed and fun, with people being very polite and open to meeting you, nobody generally sitting in one place for too long. Free coffees, teas and hot chocolate with lots of attractive spaces to have a catch up really make the office have a warm environment. It felt like you could do pretty much anything that you want to in terms of freedom and authority.
The internship was well organised in the beginning and had a lot of supportive functions. However, in terms of events, there was only one big one organised in the beginning, which was very impressive, but afterwards there was no opportunity for all the interns to connect. It resulted in only about 20 of us who were the most active to meet weekly, but would have been great if there was help from HR.

Future prospects look quite appealing and enough for me to want to take the offer. I am most attracted to the opportunity of a fast career progression that is visible in the company and that I will be surrounded by amazing people. I would have no doubts if there was an opportunity for sponsorship of masters/MBA.
The Culture
I have heard from some interns that they got involved with charity work with their teams, but I personally haven’t experienced it, which is a shame. There were a few invites for external events, but not many things were happening (or not many were communicated) compared to what I heard from interns doing other internships.
