The Role
I really liked the fact that I was given projects from day one, actually having a purpose from day one.
I felt my colleagues did think the work I was producing was actually helping them out. My colleagues put a lot of effort into my learning as well.
Any questions I had were always answered and I met with each member of my team to learn more about their roles.
I was given interesting projects from day one, so never felt that I wasn't contributing.
My projects did involve lots of responsibility, but as senior people in my team had to sign-off on my work I sometimes felt I didn't have as much responsibility.
we had lots of talks put on for us, which hugely benefitted my learning in terms of gaining an understanding of what other departments were like. I think this will definitely help me in the future as I want to go into marketing and my experience here has helped me gain a wider understanding of the industry.
The Company
Everyone is extremely friendly but most importantly everyone is very supportive, giving advice in areas they are experts in.
I think the internship was extremely well structured. From day one everything has been organised perfectly.
I think they invested in me a great deal. I've had the opportunity to go to many different events and meetings outside of the company. I think the whole internship positively focuses on our learning, rather than us just helping out with admin tasks.
I really do want to work for the company as I think their investment in their staff really appealed to me.
The Culture
Yes, the company organised some events but the interns also met up together too.
I found Canary Wharf very expensive.
It was fun but quite expensive.
I was able to attend lots of events and talks outside of work which really helped with my learning.
