The Role
Very enjoyable internship. Met great people and gained new skills.
Felt like a genuine member of the team, compelting tasks which were necessary for team's wider project.
Line manager was very supportive and selected the tasks he gave me such that I met a variety of people and gained a plethora of skills. Was very well guided.
There were some days where I wouldn't be very busy at all, but most days I had a reasonable number of tasks to compelte. However, it was not too stressful.
I was given a number of responsibilties including ownership of documents and processes. However I was supported throughout all of this so it was not completely on my head (thankfully).
I think the skills i gained will be more useful beyond/outside my degree than within it. They included inter-personal skills, management skills and an understanding of how Technolgoy functions work.
The Company
The general atmoshphere was fairly relaxed. Attire was trousers and a shirt. Employees milled around, discussing their work and more. A lovely bunch of people having fun.
Overall, it was set up well. The HR events and programme dovetailed well with what my line manager had planned for me. I felt cared for and supported from both sides.
We had training towards the beginning of the programme and then further on the job training via online resources.

Company Parties/Events
Very appealing. Seems to be a great place to work, with strong values and great people, all working towards achieving something positive.
The Culture
Yes - we regularly met up for lunch, played football and chilled. Time spent with each other during HR programmes was enjoyable and enabled freiendships to be built.
Lunch was approx. £5-6 per day in the Cafeteria. Travel cost me approx £70 per week.
N/A
There were some on offer, such as the Citizenship Challenge and a Hackathon
