The Role
I found the internship engaging in most aspects. The opportunity to meet high-level managers from across the bank was very useful.
For the most part I felt valued, although as an intern you tend to question whether the work you are doing actually has a tangible impact on anything.
Felt fully supported by an amazing team. Connected with colleagues in other teams and divisions who also gave me guidance.
Could have been busier and given more tasks.
Too little.
They will undoubtedly help.
The Company
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Appealing.
The Culture
The social scene was generally good among colleagues. There could have been a better effort to organise networking events for the whole intern cohort and not function-only events.
Quite normal for London.
Canary Wharf - lots of after-work pubs and bars.
Yes, it's what you make of it. Both work-related and non-related activities. Depends on you Line Manager though.
