About You
I really enjoyed the experience, I got a valuable insight to the work of the law office, and I felt welcomed.
Everyone were very welcoming and friendly. My supervisor was very attentive and cheering, my buddy was just the best ever and other trainees were great to spend time with.
Supervisors were very supportive, and my buddy explained one of the tasks really well.
Entire information provided was very life based, so I guess all skills obtained can be used throughout entire future experience.
The Company
Very well structured - we had a meticulous schedule for every day, so I had to plan wisely to get on with things
Friendly, welcoming, positive
I think this scheme gives you a very clear idea of what it's like to be a lawyer and what kind of tasks will you encounter on a day-to-day basis. Also working closely with a buddy as part of the department you get an idea of division of roles, delegation of assignments and the usual hours of works.
I was placed in corporate commercial & projects team, so my placement gave me a very good idea what it looks like to be a corporate lawyer - we had a series tasks and educational seminars with company associates, who explained to us the basics of the profession and showed some standard documents.
Everything Else
Absolutely. We had networking lunch, the first day was filled with interaction, seminars were led by company associates, and generally speaking, if a trainee would follow the tasks given, each task gives an opportunity to communicate with the specialist in a particular area.
Great. We had networking lunch, presentations, seminars, and also a commercial challenge assignment, which meant that we had to work in a team of 4-5 people, who you never met before the scheme, gave an excellent opportunity to constantly stay in touch, while working on the same project.
The member of the talent team mentioned TW employees are engaged in loads of sports activities, and I noticed in the corridors the notices about rugby games being held on the weekends. Also my buddy mentioned TW employees would often attend networking drinks or lunches with companies, who are doing business with TW
Definitely would recommend - it is a great opportunity to understand a profession, what its like to work in a law office, the schedule, working hours, typical assignments. TW is the friendliest environment, so getting a placement here guarantees a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
