The Role
I loved it - I found the teams to be accommodating, helpful and always prepared to offer me great opportunities. It was hugely helpful in terms of giving me a realistic insight into the world of consultancy. I was given client work and allowed to help towards deliverables that were integral to the project.
I most definitely found that my colleagues valued my presence and did their utmost to help me to get the most out of my time. I was given chances to chair team meetings, join the team on client site and also to engage with the team on socials. They made me feel welcome and involved with the project.
My supervisor aided me by always ensuring I was busy and had meaningful contributions and tasks. They allowed me to ensure that I was gaining new experiences and learning every day of my placement. This meant that I was able to get a robust idea of daily consultant life.
I always was kept busy and given work - it meant that I was always active and engaged & also learning new things all the time. It was great to not be patronised or side-lined but actually be engaged with the team and treated like a full time consultant.
I was allowed opportunities to contribute to real client deliverables and key aspects of the project which allowed me to rise to the challenge and improve my skills and confidence. I was made owner of key internal aspects of the project also.
I believe that the analytical skills and insights I gained will be immensely helpful towards my studies. The skill of focusing on details will be invaluable when I write my dissertation and have to review the final document for changes and refinement.
The Company
The office atmosphere was always friendly and had a good vibe. Everyone was helpful and warm when approached and the open plan approach to seating allowed me to interact with people across all levels of seniority, which helped me to learn and get good exposure.
I faced few delays of hiccups in the programme, with everything being ready for my joining and everything running smoothly throughout my placement. Any information was always clearly communicated in weekly newsletters and ensured everyone was kept up-to-date.
I believe that the firm strongly invests in our development and training, We were offered numerous opportunities to attend training events and insight events. Additionally, we were offered lunch and learn sessions which allowed us to learn about and question different key areas such as exam training and resilience.

Very - the insight of the firm you get is amazing and the networks you get to build are invaluable and set you up well to join as a graduate. You are offered advice and training to help with the next stage.
The Culture
There were some socials and events which allowed interns to meet and socialise across different areas and teams. This could be slightly improved.
Being London, it was costly but some events were subsidised by the firm.
London nightlife is great.
We were encouraged to join sports teams, multi-faith networks, women's networks and many others which allowed us to express our interests outside of work.
