The Role
I highly recommend Technology Summer Analyst program for those who are willing to learn how banking world works. Projects for interns are very interesting and give you lots of space to show your knowledge and to learn as much as you want.
Citi employees are highly professional people. However, they are willing to answer any question and give advice. If you would like to meet them they respond quickly to your email and always find a slot to meet you for a cup of tea.
I've been working with an amazing group of people. Every member of the team had no problem to answer all my questions any time I asked. Most of the time, I didn't have to ask for a help because they stopped and asked what I am doing and if I need a help any time they were passing by my desk.
As everywhere on the world, there are very busy days and then days when you have time to do the tings that you usually postpone because their priority is slightly lower.
I was working on a new project on my own. I was responsible for everything related to it. However, the project was new and nothing was dependent on it therefore I wasn't stressed how much responsibility I had.
Introduction training is very interesting, mostly focuses to improve our personal skills such as the way we interact with others and the way we act in the team.
The Company
Atmosphere in the office is really good. People are always positive, in a good mood telling jokes etc. It's very helpful especially if you are a new team member.
Everything was organised very well. From the documents through PC setup to work or after work events. Recruitment team is doing very good job.
The internship is quite short for a personal training. However, people improve their knowledge and learn a lot every day.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
If interns do their best then they shouldn't be worried about future employment.
The Culture
As interns, we are all close to each other therefore after the internship the friendships will continue.
London is the place were socialising is one of the easiest things to do.On the other hand, the cost of living is quite high.
Offices are in the business are were the night life means pubs and restaurants. However, if anyone prefers clubbing, then he can take a tube and in less than 20 minutes in any direction there will be a club or any other party place to have fun.
Citi is a big company therefore there is always something going on. Moreover London is the city that never sleeps so I am never bored there.
