The Role
I really enjoyed my time with Grant Thornton. The team was very friendly, the firm has a great culture and I had valuable exposure during my time there.
Extremely valued. All of them were willing to teach me new things about the line of work and appreciated me when I completed a good piece of work and gave me feedback/tips on how to improve.
I was given guidance wherever necessary. My line manager was very approachable and knowledgeable.
Generally I was very busy, although some days were quieter than others. I was able to email/verbally ask for new work so that I was never bored.
As much responsibility as an intern could have. I was taken to client meetings and was able to sit in on conference calls as well as my routine tasks.
I massively improved my presentation skills, both in the way I conduct myself and the way I should present my pieces of work. This is something that I will take forward into my university studies. I also improve my researching skills.
The Company
Calm. A very easy place to concentrate and get work done.
It was well organised. During my time the process was very well structured.
The firm offered a wide variety of training courses in order to improve my personal development.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I would love to get a job at this firm.
The Culture
Yes, we organised drinks/nights out regularly.
The cost of living is very high in London, hence I chose to commute for my internship.
Really good. There were lots of different clubs and bars across London to experience.
Yes, the firm has many sports teams.
