The Role
I enjoyed this internship very much and being my first place of work in my career I could not have found a better place to start. It was a very good learning experience for me and I would recommend it highly to anyone contemplating applying. My work was not stressful and was enjoyable throughout the whole internship.
I felt that I was valued very much by my colleagues and my manager treated me extremely well, helping me and guiding me through the problems I had and providing me with advice on various parts of the process along the way. Being in an intern there was only so much I could do within 10 weeks however I was given a feeling of importance by my team.
I was given support and guidance whenever I needed by my supervisor and management. Despite being busy my supervisor was always ready to answer any questions I had and if he was not available I had the help of other members in the team who were very helpful to me.
My workload varied on a day to day basis with some days being more concentrated towards finishing and getting a large amount of work done on my projects whereas other days consisted of attending intern training events. Overall, I don’t think my work got too much to handle for me.
I feel that I was given an understandable amount of responsibility that could be given to an intern. It would not be appropriate to fully give all responsibility for someone new to the team so I feel my more limited levels of responsibility were appropriate and good for me during my placement.
I feel the skills that I have learned during my internship have greatly increased my confidence in my ability to impress and also my ability in my area of study. I believe that during my time here, I have improved my communication skills and learned how to assume responsibility and work as part of a bigger team.
The Company
The general atmosphere in my office was a generally pleasant and exciting one. It was surprisingly quieter than I expected and never got too hectic. I felt that it was always a calm environment that I could always sit down and work happily in. It was quite friendly and accommodative.
I feel the overall internship was organised and set up very well however I felt that there could have been more events which allowed for interns to get to know each other more in terms of team building events. Other than that everything was organised perfectly with learning events mixed into our schedules every week.
I believe that the company gave me a variety of opportunities for me to learn and invested in me to some extent. I believe that maybe they could have been an extra day or two which allowed for more training events for those who weren’t really accustomed to working in such a prestigious establishment.

Company Parties/Events
The future employment prospects within this organisation are incredibly appealing and I would jump at the chance to continue working here if given the opportunity. I believe that it is one of the best places that a person could work in and that there are a variety of areas I would love to get involved in.
The Culture
I found that there was a good social scene amongst my fellow interns and it was always fun to go to lunch etc with my fellow students. I found that occasionally I saw some interns were left out of conversations as friend groups formed quickly from the initial training days.
The cost of living was quite high however this was expected given the fact that I was based in central London. I expected the canteen etc would be subsidised to an extent however I found that the canteen food was also significantly more expensive than food I could buy from outside.
The nightlife around London is obviously one of the best no matter what your tastes are. There are a variety of things to do and relax with once your work has finished and many places you can go to with your team to wind down and relax. I would happily work here.
There were one or two opportunities and events to get involved in outside of work, and given the fact that the internship was only 10 weeks long, I thought the given amount of activities was very good and great fun to get involved in and I would love to do them again.
