The Role
Overall, a very enjoyable internship. Plenty of opportunities to network and learn about the firm. The people are very supportive and helpful. I would strongly recommend this internship for anyone interested in Operations, Technology or Finance.
Responsibility comes with trust and demonstrating capability to learn quickly and deliver quality work. It is largely based on an individual's motivation to contribute to the team.
I was given amazing suppot and training sessions during my 11 weeks. I was also given the freedom to find other work shadowing placements outside of my area.
Once I began my projects I was fairly busy on a daily basis. It is important to be able to prioritise tasks and not take on more work than you can handle.
I was assigned a fairly large project which involved talking to a lot of people and reaching out to different teams within JPM.
Microsoft Excel and Access skills improved a lot. In terms of studies, any financial information is beneficial. I learnt a lot.
The Company
My team made me laugh every single day. Very fun, friendlt atmosphere.
Atleast one or two events arranged each week. These included speaker events, networking, parties, treasure hunt.
