The Role
I enjoyed the exposure I got, even in terms of relocating across the UK and the people were great and always tried to involve me in projects
They were so, so supportive and happy to teach me new things or give me work
My line manager held a 2 hour session with me per week to explain new concepts which was fantastic and he helped organize many internal shadowing opportunities for me
I wasn't overly busy and constantly stressed but I got exactly the right amount for me to understand fully what Commercial Banking was all about
I was given real responsibility on projects that involved real clients and impacted the business
Giving presentations and talking to clients increased my confidence massively
The Company
Very jokey and everyone enjoys their job/has a good relationship with their clients
I like the fact that I had a line manager with direct responsibility for me. Also, they gave us accomodation so we were all together which was great, and submitting expenses was v easy
They invested lots of time - everyone was happy to discuss their work with me and explain things, so the culture was fantastic.

If yu are good at what you do, senior management picks up on it and will give you great career progression opportunities. Access to senior management is fantastic (the MD of Scotland frequently visited all offices and always took the time to talk to me, even as an intern)
The Culture
7 interns also based in Glasgow. I am from London and also study there so I was nervous about coming but they were all fantastic and wanted to explore so we went out together, did weekend trips and all got along v well
VERY cheap :)
Amazing, music and arts scene was v on point - Glasgow is massive in terms of rock and house music. In hindsight, I am so happy I got to explore the UK properly and was placed in Glasgow
yes- we had to do an intern charity challenge which I got very involved in, volunteering and organizing pub golf etc. as fundraisers so this was great. Also, I played tennis with a local club during my 10 weeks here which my manager had given me the number for, as I love tennis and wanted to keep up my game (I play for my local club in London)
