The Role
I really enjoyed my internship at Lloyds Banking Group. I was responsible for three different projects across three different teams. This really gave me an insight into IT business management. All my colleagues were very kind and supportive. Furthermore, as part of the internship, I needed to take part in a charity challenge. This allowed me to work and build relationships with my fellow interns.
I felt really valued by my colleagues. Since day one I was responsible for real projects.
My line management gave me lots of support throughout the internship. I felt comfortable talking to him about my issues and difficulties.
Sometimes I could be very busy but sometimes I completed my tasks early so I had a bit of free time
Like I said above, I was responsible for real projects. I feel I was given great responsibility.
I study maths and statistics at university, so the skills I developed would probably not assist in my degree study much. However, these skills along with the soft skills I developed are definitely very useful for my future career. They are certainly skills for life.
The Company
Relaxed, friendly and team-working.
Very well organised. Got everything I needed, knew what I needed to do or who I could seek support from.
We were given a lot of online courses to horn our soft skills. The charity challenge allowed us to put them in practice.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing
The Culture
Absolutely! We went out for food, drinks, movies and many other stuff very often.
Average
Most interns went clubbing during the weekend. However, I am not a fan of it, so really can't comment.
Of course. Like a said before, we needed to do a charity challenge.
