The Role
I enjoyed the day to day life of a 9 to 5 job, as well as the tasks and projects the placement brought. On rare occassions some tasks were monotonous however this was largely overshadowed by interesting projects.
At ViiV I was treated as if I were a valued employee, to the same extent as any other. Everyone was also highly friendly.
My manager struck a good balance between not being intrusive but always offering support.
As with any job, the work comes in waves, sometimes I had a bit of free time, sometimes I had a lot of work.
I couldn't ask for much more than project manager of a large project and team.
Time management, work ethic, and a 'go get' attitude were essential in the work place, all of which can be taken forward into studies and beyond.
The Company
Everyone was friendly, though hard working. There weren't many social occassions throughout the day, only a few to mark occassions.
Everything ran very smoothly.
I was sent on a variety of training days and personal development courses.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
A highly competitive organisation and graduate scheme, however I am able to leverage good contacts I have made during my time there.
The Culture
There were plenty of social occassions, however they had to cater for everyone.
West London.
I could travel to other areas of London and have a good time.
Plenty of sports clubs!
