    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I loved my placement in Digital Banking. It was so varied and I gained a lot of insight into the world wide web and how it works and how to be successful in it.

  • My colleagues are amazing. They welcomed me with open arms and were always there to support me. Really lovely people

  • The support was amazing. There was never a time when I felt there was nobody I could turn to.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I always had something interesting to do. The job were really too. I was never doing the same thing from one day to the next.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was made lead designer on the 'how to apply for a credit card page' and that was perfect for me.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I knew a lot of what was included in the webinars but for design and digital, the training I received was perfect and really useful. I got a great insight.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It was really good because the customer service side was fun and everyone in digital is really friendly and fun. Everyone is approachable and open to a laugh. Everyone works really hard but there's no competition or blame culture here. Perfect.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Really organised. My line manager didn't plan everything but he was spontaneous, always had something in the pipeline for me and was always on the lookout for opportunities.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I was given a realistic challenge which was really insightful and beneficial. I was also challenged in my everyday work. I felt very invested in.

  • Very. I don't know if I got onto the graduate scheme yet but I really want it.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Perfect. I loved my accommodation and my colleagues were always inviting me out

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Fine, affordable and plenty of choice of shops and transport.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Amazing! Leeds has a great atmosphere. We loved it

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Not really. There was day to make a difference and our charity challenge but not much more other than after work drinks :) which was fine
