The Role
I had an amazing time, the people were extremely kind and approachable and always willing to talk to you and impart any knowledge, even the most senior members of staff. I was made to feel very at home within my team and was always invited along to any meetings they had with companies.
The Company
For an investment management company it was very relaxed, everyone always had time to talk and I never felt I was in the way. In saying that there was enough of a busy atmosphere to enjoy seeing developments and changes being made within the funds. A lot of time was spent on stock and company analysis, which was really fascinating and helped to give a good general view of the industry.
Throughout the 8 weeks there were different introductory sessions for every element of the company followed by more in depth sessions on your particular area; so as an investment intern I'd learn detail about their different fixed income, equities and Prudential parts.
Company Parties/Events
The Culture
It's London, so it was never going to be cheap but some of the bars near by are really nice and a lot of people from M&G go there after work for a few drinks, so it's great for socialising.
