The Role
I was lucky to be assigned to a great team. Great working environment, great team work and great involvement (I also had the opportunity to travel for working reasons). 9/10 instead of 10/10 just because the salary is a little low compared to banks and other companies in the financial sector.
Highly valued, couldn't ask for more. I felt like being part of a big family.
everyone was always ready and happy to help me (from directors to analysts)
The amount of work was quite cyclical. I had to work until 1 am some days and on Saturdays, while others I could leave at 5. I would have welcomed more banking style working hours (but this is probably a bias of mine).
Great, I met clients, took part in credit committees...
The learning curve was initially very steep but then everything got alright
The Company
Very friendly, I loved the fact that my team was very heterogeneous and diverse.
I think we spent too much time being presented all M&G divisions (which was not needed from my perspective, i.e. if I apply for an investment scheme why should I lose time learning what HR does?!?). On the other side I would have preferred to get more specific training.
I say 8 because my team was great but I had the perception it was kind of an outlier.
Subsidised Canteen
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Very good in my team. 8/10 instead of 10/10 because the salary is relatively low compared to other financial companies and because the employment prospects could be more dynamic from my point of view.
The Culture
To be honest I had much more fun with my team that with the interns
London is super expensive, we all know
kind of good
I played multiple sports with my team, I was great. I was invited to have dinner at the managers' place and it was great!
