The Role
the people were lovely and made working really enjoyable.
They made an active effort to include me in team events and help me out when I got stuck.
Weekly one to ones with my manager where she gave me targets and ways I could improve
Depended on what I got given to work on during the day, some days I felt overloaded and some days I felt I didn't have enough to do.
I was given my own project to run, and helped support other members of staff in their day to day work.
My placement really helped me develop skills that will indubitably me useful for me in the rest of my career.
The Company
Everyone was friendly, sociable and got along. And there was a real sense of team spirit within my team
Some events were only done in the London office which isn't ideal if you were in the Surrey or Kent offices, they did provide dial-in details for the events but it wasn't quite the same.
They gave us a training week at the start of our placement, further every week for the first 8 weeks, there were 2 'lunches and learns' which was a presentation about varying topics about the financial services industry from professionals.
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
The Culture
there were organised interns events, and the team I worked within also had events like meals which I was invited to
London is expensive.
The area around the office had no nightlife to speak of, but where I was living there was.
If you wanted to the opportunities were there.
