The Role
Very good internship at SLI - much hands on experience and great insight into company.
Staff willing to answer any and all questions. Was allowed to tag along on external client meetings etc.
Managers always willing to help.
Very busy, full working days and work would sometimes extend to weekends.
My project was 100% my own responsibility.
Skills were definitely developed and will help me in my studies and future career. External training was also included during the internship.
The Company
Serious atmosphere, friendly colleagues.
Very well structured, always knew there was work to do.
Access to software was never an issue, access to meetings and discussions was always open.
Company Parties/Events
Not sure about future opportunities, but I would happily consider one if I got an offer.
The Culture
Very good social scene amongst the interns.
Cost of living was excellent, serviced appartments paid for by company.
Edinburgh is a great town.
Probably good opportunities, but never really had the time to engage in these.
