The Role
I greatly enjoyed the pastoral care given to us by the internship's organisers - weekly communications were sent out to keep us informed of what was coming up in the following week. The accommodation and transportation options provided to us by the internship were also very good. The team I was placed in are all very friendly and made sure to make me feel welcome in my placement, as well as providing as much support as I needed. The work itself, however, was not at all what I was hoping to do, especially as I mentioned during the assessment day that I wanted to placed in a technical programming role, and was instead tasked with something more akin to data entry.
Very - I was trusted with several projects to improve the tools used by the team, as well as taking some minor roles in their BAU projects that were ongoing at the time,
I was given a good level of support whenever I needed it, always being given an answer to the question I had, or the name of someone I could get in touch with for further clarification.
Due to the project assigned to me being based on e-mailing colleagues and chasing them up, the first 5-6 weeks were spent doing not much at all/finding other things to do, but as the weeks went on and people started replying my time was eventually filled.
The projects I ended up being a part of would be eventually used by employees to do their job better, so I knew that what I was doing would eventually make some difference. Despite that, the nature of the projects were such that the end result was far away so it didn't feel as above initially.
Managing my time and working in a team and with dependencies on either side of my work will help me be more dilligent.
The Company
Very relaxed, I could walk up to anyone for a chat and be greeted positively where possible.
Very well, I always knew where I needed to be and was put in contact with my line manager before starting my first day so starting the placement was very smooth.
Events were run to help with our presentation skills, planning skills, as well as various opportunities to network with the people on the graduate scheme. There was also a very informative trip to Leicester.

From a high-level perspective, very. The work carried out is meticulously produced to a high standard. Unfortunately this is not what I want to do so there is no personal appeal involved.
The Culture
Very fairly priced with good links to other places that offered attractions and things to do.
Terrible.
