The Role
Great office culture with a helpful team. Learned a lot and was quite challenging early on. Completing a useful project was very satisfying.
Friendly colleagues who were always willing to help.
Great support and guidance on most aspects of the internship.
Was kept quite busy over the majority of the placement with only about half a day where there was a bit of a lull.
A lot of autonomy on my own project, not much beyond that.
Maybe not specifically for my degree studies (Mechanical Engineering), bu the skills I've developed will definitely be useful well into my graduation and work life.
The Company
Good work ethic mixed in with a light, friendly office culture. The office rarely felt tense aside from days closer to larger deadlines.
Incredibly well structure and organised. Had an interesting project set up as soon as I arrived with clear project goals as well as clear personal development goals.
Large amount of investment by the company for all interns. Manager and mentor were incredibly helpful and invested quite a bit of time to make sure I was kept engaged throughout the internship. The HR department also did a great job in providing activities outside of the office and making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable.

Coming from an internship position, this has not been made entirely clear (at time of writing). Hope to hear more over the course of my leaving procedures. At the very least, past interns skip the first round of interviews. Much looking forward to possibly working here after graduating.
The Culture
Good social scene with interesting activities. Wide variety of social groups ensured that there was something for almost anyone to get involved in.
Quite high as the area is still relatively close to Central London. This was greatly eased with subsidised living costs in the company house and affordable food in the company canteen.
Decent amount of local pubs. Personally not too invested in the nightlife scene, so no complaints.
Large range of social and sports activities were available and made known early on. This ranged from board game nights to sport sessions over lunch. Definitely a plus.
