The Role
Was very fun and enjoyable. Had lots of support from my manager whenever I got stuck.
Felt very valued, although my project was probably of relatively limited use to the company!
Whenever I was stuck I could go and ask any question and get help within minutes. Probably got anywhere between one and two hours worth of help each day.
Always had something to be getting on with.
I had a lot of responsibility related to my individual project and could do more of less what I wanted.
Very useful programming skills I intend to use in future jobs and for hobby programming
The Company
Very laid back and relaxed - I usually arrived closer to 10 then 9.
Fairly well organised although it took my a long time to hear back regarding the company house
Great support and teaching from my manager. I learnt a lot!
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Been offered another internship for next year
The Culture
Very good, regular pub trips after work and at lunch time.
Mixed, although we had subsidised accomodation in the company house.
Pubs were quite good but not much else.
Regular sports at lunchtimes.
