    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Thoroughly enjoyed it. Such a lovely team, office and department who are very willing to help out and provide a valuable insight into JP Morgan and HR.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • With work experience/internships, you always feel a slight burden when you first start. But the team here were so welcoming, friendly and approachable that that feeling quickly went. I have genuinely never been in such a nice working environment where you are trusted to do the work set. Now nearing the end of my internship, I feel valued by the team!

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My manager has been fantastic. He is very aware of the work I do and helps me to achieve my objectives. My manager also has really helped with focusing my development and providing useful feedback and advice.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some days were incredibly busy but I love such an intense environment and thrive in a pressured environment. It was never too much as such because the team were so supportive and ensured I was ok when having a very busy day.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • They were very flexible - I was given the responsibility I felt was appropriate. Very supportive of the work I did and helpful to ensure I fulfill responsibilities given to me.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Incredibly useful skills and training. These will help with my final year at University and with future jobs. My Excel skills have improved and just my general use of a Computer. I also feel more confident since starting this internship as I have been in some difficult and challenging situations where I have been able to respond effectively and professionally.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Very friendly atmosphere - everyone gets on with their work but there is still talking and interaction between employees and colleagues which is refreshing to witness.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Incredibly well organized - events (formal and informal), socials and networking events were very well organized and communication was great!

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I really felt that all the members of staff I interacted with wanted to help me develop my skills and get the most out of the Internship as possible. They were so patient.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
