The Role
I enjoyed my placement very much as I found it challenging yet rewarding work. The rest of my department were also very supportive and friendly.
I was never once made to feel out of place as my colleagues kept me involved and up to date with everything.
Anytime I required advice or help, I would go to my supervisor as they were always helpful and informative.
On the whole, my project kept me quite busy. There were some slow days but those were rare.
From day one, I was left with a project to complete and was immediately made a key member of this project's core group.
The organisation and communication skills I have learnt will be invaluable as I go on to complete my degree. Also, the work ethic I have witnessed and adopted will help me immeasurably.
The Company
The general atmosphere was that of an entirely professional atmosphere, however I would in no way say that it was strict or intimidating.
Everything was very well organised including the Intern Lunch and Learns.
The company provided me with the opportunity to get invaluable insight into various aspects of the company through many different Lunch and Learn sessions during my internship.
Company Parties/Events
I have been made to fell like I could return here next year if I wanted to. As I am going into my 2nd year at University, I was not looking for a job offer at the end of my placement.
The Culture
All the interns got along well and would occasionally meet up after work hours to socialise.
As the area is fairly close to central London and other tourist destinations, it wasn't exactly the cheapest of places to socialise but it was still very much possible.
Nightlife was something that I had no desire to investigate.
There were no invitations to get involved with any activities outside of work.
