The Role
The team was extremely friendly and you get to network with various people on the floor who are not in your team which is great, including loads of interns. You are exposed to a great deal of work which gives you a further insight into what the financial industry consists of.
The team was fantastic. I expected it to be quite rough, but everyone was extremely friendly and provided the necessary help when required. My manager and team were always open to questions which was very helpful. I went out a few times with my colleagues, and was even invited to my VP's house for a BBQ, which was awesome.
My manager was very helpful and set out a plan right from the go. They personally trained me up and were there all the time if I needed help. They were also very friendly and I was able to have genuine conversations with them.
I was given a lot of responsibility which was ideal. At first I had nothing to do which was expected, but as time went on I was trained up and provided with daily tasks which kept me busy for around 80% of the day.
Quite a lot. They really treated me like a normal worker, which I respected. I did the tasks that current employees were doing which made me feel very valued.
I was exposed to a lot at my time here. Before the internship, I had no clue what I applied for. I just applied. However, these 10 weeks have been vital in my career and will take me a long way in the future. I have gained a real in depth understanding of the financial world and it is an awesome thing to put on my CV.
The Company
It is not overwhelming with noise, but it is not silent either. People have genuine conversations about football, the news and what they did over the weekend without their managers shouting at them. It is a friendly atmosphere and you are treated with a great level of respect.
I did one last year at another firm which was rubbish. Compared to that, this one was a great deal better. We were put into our respective teams who were given notice before, and I was even contacted by my direct manager before the internship even started. The socials were awesome.
At the moment, not much, we were just given an insight into life at the firm, but I understand on the grad scheme your studies are covered by the firm.
Company Parties/Events
It is appealing if you are working in the line of business you want. I think the firms procedure to change line's on business is pretty unreasonable and not as easy as people may expect.

Prices in London = Joke Luckily I live with my mum so I don't pay a dime :)
Unlimited bars in canary wharf - but too overpriced. They think we all earn 100k + like the morons in ib.
