The Role
The work I was given was useful to the team and very interesting. The social events with other interns and members of the business were very enjoyable.
My colleagues treated me like I had always been part of the team. We had similar interests and the whole desk was very chatty and enjoyable to work with. They would give me meaningful work that genuinely helped them.
They would provide constant feedback on what I was doing right and what I could be improving on and really helped me to understand the more technical side of things.
Very busy, Lots of responsibilities and tasks just for the interns on top of day to day pricing and projects given to me by my team. We had weekly trade pitches, quizzes and training sessions to attend alongside desk admin.
Lots of responsibility. Obviously you could not provide prices to clients but I would effectively do the analysts job alongside to get a feel for how it would be if I start full time
I had graduated when I started my internship. The work is directly relevant to my understanding of the industry and it really improved my understanding of my line of business.
The Company
Collaborative and very sociable but also super busy all of the time so there was a constant buzz around the office.
Really well organised. We had weekly pitches every week and other teach ins and training for our development. Constantly made plans with the manager and had a clear set of objectives at all times to ensure you were meeting the standard they required from you.
The team was always ready to help, and they spent a lot of time ensuring I was up to speed with the most important concepts. They invested a lot in the training and constantly set up learning opportunities.

Not found out if I have a job yet but the feedback so far has been strong.
The Culture
The interns would always go for drinks on a Friday evening together and we all spend a lot of time getting to know each other. everyone is friendly and you don't feel like anyone is trying to be too competitive or unhelpful.
It's London so expensive.
Didn't go out in Canary wharf but its a nice area for some drinks after work.
There were a few activities that were organised by HR but it was hard to find the time to join the sports teams
