The Role
9 *s. I can genuinely say I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent at M*G. The culture and ethos of the firm was relaxed and friendly whilst remaining professional, and suited me well. Everyone was welcoming and always prepared to spare some time to talk with me.
7*s Initially I felt I did have to push for tasks to be given to me, but once I was given a project I took on a large amount of responsibility and enjoyed being a spokesperson for my team when liaising with third patrties
5*s. My designated manager and I did not have much interaction as we were working on other tasks, but other people in my team were very supportive and always patient
7*s Initially not so busy, towards the end of the internship it was a push to get it all done!
7*s Quite a lot. As said previously, once I was given the project to undertake I had a lot of responsibility to liaise with third parties, maintain attention to detail and represent my team
7*s Surprisingly being a historian, my skills already developed assisted me more than expected. Attention to detail and analytical thinking skills were vital to the project I was responsible for, and these are things that come naturally to me
The Company
9*s. really good! A relaxed, fun atmosphere where I felt that everyone was valued and able to contribute to the team
8*s. HR Did a fantastic job of structuring training sessions as well as socials, and I felt these permeated my time at M&G perfectly
8*s. As mentioned above, HR made a concerted effort to give us insights into different business areas, and always encouraged us to meet with people and ask questions
Subsidised Canteen
10*s! Very! I would love to work with M&G, the atmosphere, ethos and professional environment made for an ideal working place
The Culture
9*s! Definitely. We were encouraged by HR always to meet up with our peers, and this was aided by the regular social events that they organised
1*s, not really sure this applies to me as I was lucky enough to be able to stay with a friend who lives in London
9*s! So much fun! Regular nights out with the interns always proved to be a good night
8*s. I went on a tennis day with my team as well as for the occasional meal. In addition to this I became close friends with a few of the interns and we ensured that we always met up
