The Role
The internship was great. I was given a project that took me though the whole design and building cycle. Also had a lot of different events to network with fellow interns and ask questions some of the company executive.
My team were very welcoming from day one and could turn to at any time if I had problems that I needed help solving.
My manager made sure from day one that I knew about my project and how it would fit in. Daily stand-up meeting also made sure that it kept on track and was able to go and ask questions if I had any.
In the first few weeks it was a little slow but as it got to the mid point of the internship I started to get a busier workload.
I was given responsibility for my own project and to run though all the different stages of the project in my 10 weeks.
It showed me what tools are being used in industry compared to what is taught at university and how critical team work is.
The Company
It was a good atmosphere. Did not feel as corporate as I would have expected so was a good place to come and work each day.
The whole internship was well planned out by the recruitment team and had a number of different things spread out over the ten weeks.
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare/Dental
The future employment prospects are great as the internship is a way of getting into the graduate program if you want it and you perform well during your time there.
