The Role
I have really enjoyed working at the bank, there was a steep learning curve at the start, where I was really not enjoying it, but once I got settled and wasn't struggling with my work, I have loved it.
My team gave me a lot of responsibility and got me involved as much as possible and necessary. Projects that I have participated in will be having an affect on the bank, so I feel very valued.
Fantastic guidance from my fellow colleagues, I can count on my hand the amount of times that I felt like I was a pain to them. Really supportive and good help.
Relatively busy, but never overwhelmed. There was a point where I felt really under pressure to deliver, but mainly because I under-estimated the time I thought it would take to complete a project. This in itself was a good learning experience,
In my team i was given a lot of responsibility, with a clear understanding of how my changes would affect the company. I was also asked to present on a project I worked on, which was good to have my managers confidence that I would perform.
I am yet to go back to university, but what I have learnt has been invaluable and I am excited to apply my new skills.
The Company
A good level of fun vs. work balance, something that I had to adjust to quickly. It made me appreciate when was appropriate to have a joke and when we all need to get on and work. Can't fault the atmostphere.
Very well organised, I always felt like there was a clear direction.
There was a one day technical training day which was good, but would have been better if it was slower, but I appreciate that there is not enough time to do things slowly, plus learning on the job is a lot more effective in my opinion.

I would be very happy if I was able to receive a job offer from BAML, i will find out on the 26/8.
The Culture
As technologies working hours were less than a lot of the divisions at work, I was pleasantly surprised to find a good group of interns that enjoyed socializing.
I have spent a lot of money on going out and lunch, but as to be expected.
Its London, so really good nightlife. After work drinks happened frequently.
Yes I have played football with multiple different groups inside the bank. which has been good. There has also been other opportunities that I have been able to take part in but haven't.
