The Role
I absolutely loved it. The job role itself isn't something I'd want to do for my career but I have learnt so much in such a short period of time.
My whole team valued me. Right from the Analysts straight to the Managing Directors. My opinion was always valued.
I was given ample support and opportunities by my manager and team, and had all of my questions answered in a quick, timely manner.
I worked in the Investment Bank, so the hours were long and always filled with business critical work.
I was given the rare opportunity to completely take control of an aspect of the business as usual because it needed a fresh pair of eyes and attention.
It won't so much assist me with my studies but it has given me such an advantage over most prospectives graduates looking for a career in banking.
The Company
It was a lively atmosphere. A lot of jokes flying around but the teams work ethic was immense. I have no idea how they managed to juggle laughter and strict deadlines into one smooth manner.
It was well organised to me, from both the HR/Intern perspective and my team. Admittedly my manager has admitted to creating new tasks as he went along but it's worked well.
It was given too much training, in honesty but I'm a quick learner and picked up the majority on the job. However, in terms of learning equities in the investment bank, I have learnt an enormous amount.

If you perform to an exceptional standard as a summer intern, you will be offered a graduate position. So future employment prospects are enormous and I will be taking on a graduate role, if offered.
The Culture
The social scene was great.
Not too bad but I'm from the north, so everywhere down south tends to be most expensive.
Not too bad but could have been a lot better.
I wasn't really made aware of many, to be honest. Maybe that was because we were only there for 11 weeks?
