The Role
The atmosphere in the office was quite a relaxed one, workload was not that heavy and support was always available. Depending on your personality, fitting in the larger/smaller team is very easy, people are welcoming and make you feel part of the bigger picture.
I helped my colleagues with various tasks and everytime received good feedback and they relied on me with certain task which made me feel valuable to the team. We even went together to social events which made me feel welcomed among the larger team.
Management team has been very supportive and guided me most of the times through my daily tasks/activities
As well as the daily tasks, I have been given two projects where I took the lead on
Most of the skills that were required I have previously developed, more likely it was an enhancepent/building up on those existing already.
The Company
A good balance of fun/regular chats and serious work when needed. The atmosphere was welcoming and not stresful but sometimes towards the end of the day it could get a bit dull.
With a few glitches there and there, the overall setting up of the internship was quite well organised having a mix of activities/tasks and projects to feel that you have played a good part during your 2 moths or so
Good webinars, great support network and sponsored trips to conferences/ project working
National Travel
Very appealing, looking forawrd for the graduate scheme. A very good company culture.
The Culture
I was based in Southampton alongside another intern, therefore not having many social events among interns. However, I was based in student halls and there were plenty of students around (even in the summer) to hang out/socialise/go out.
Pretty good choice of pubs/clubs to go to
