The Role
I have thoroughly enjoyed my internship with Mace. It has, truly, been an invaluable experience.
All of my colleagues, particularly my Line Manager, have made me feel extremely valued and welcome.
Throughout my internship, the Operations Directors, Directors and my Line Manager have provided me with fantastic support and guidance which has developed my knowledge, abilities and also enhanced my experience.
Everyday I was always busy, but not unbearably so.
During my internship I was given incredible responsibility which included leading my own project with a high-profile client, leading furniture valuations for the biggest fit-out in London and liaising with clients and contractors.
The skills I have developed and training I have received will provide me with skills and knowledge that I will carry with me throughout my life. Moreover, the APC workshops that I was fortunate enough to be involved has enabled me to understand the various competencies required to become Chartered - something which is a personal goal of mine.
The Company
There was a always a great atmosphere in the office which perfectly balanced work and fun.
The internship was regimented and so well organised - I cannot thank Mace's Human Resources and Cost Consultancy departments enough for this,
Mace endeavored to provide me with all of the personal training and development I requested, including APC workshops.
I would, truly, love to be given the opportunity to work with Mace. However, the current economic climate which has been the result of the referendum result may limit my employment prospects.
The Culture
Frequently, interns, placement holders and colleagues would meet up to socialise.
As it was in London, unsurprisingly, it was very expensive.
London has a fantastic nightlife.
Frequently, activities such as charity events were advertised and encouraged around the office.
