The Role
It has been a great experience for me. I have developed a great understanding of the industry and this placement has improved myself in terms of career prospect, technical skills and also interpersonal skills.
An organisation with a rather flat hierarchy. People always tried to make me feel included in the team.
All colleagues will take the time to explain and clarify things for you and tried hard to make sure that you do not feel left out during the placement
Colleagues have been very understanding of my workload given that I am taking this opportunity in shadowing and also trying to support my charity team.
A fair amount of responsibility were given to me given that I am just an intern and I understand that there are certain risks involved that requires sign off from superiors before going live.
A great insight to the financial services industry plus the chance to interact with people from within the business really helps me to develop my skills and also my career prospect.
The Company
I personally appreciate a serious atmosphere within the office while working and thus I think that this aspect is actually a plus for me. Having said that, the colleagues are very friendly and ensure that you feel included within their circles.
Various webinars and training has been arranged by the talent team to help intern develop.
Subsidised Canteen
Apart from the referral process, the help that the talent team gave to graduates for job placement later on was tremendous.
The Culture
A very diverse and welcoming social scene among placement students.
My placement was in London so the high cost of living is understandable.
The nightlife was spectacular in the area I worked but it was not a huge concern for me.
There are opportunities to shadow other departments, even those completely unrelated to my placement. Other than that, the responsible business challenge, which interns and graduates tried to raise fund for a charity organisation is compulsory for all.
