The Role
The work I was set was very enjoyable and challenging throughout. I was set meaningful work which made a difference.
All of my colleagues treated me as one of their own, I was instantly welcomed into the team and treated as an equal.
All of my superiors were very helpful and helped wherever and whenever I needed it. They took a lot of time out of their days to ensure I was well looked after.
There were days where I was very busy and some where I wasn't. But on those days I took it upon myself to make some work which was recognised by the management team and appreciated.
My main role was improving functions and areas which were already established, while the work I did didn't change things completely it did help and it was my responsibility to make those well needed improvements.
The excel and project management skills that I have developed will definitely help and be shown through in my university work and hopefully on the graduate scheme.
The Company
Very welcoming and open. A lot of talking and a nice relaxed and laid back atmosphere. No pressure and nobody looking over your shoulder, they expect you to do your work but won't pressure you into doing it.
My induction was very well prepared where I was given a structure for my weeks where I was given a lot of time with each area of the business. From then on it was quite ad hoc according to the work that they gave me.
They ensured that the projects gave me as much exposure to as many skills as possible and as many areas as possible to help use these skills in more areas than one.

A lot of areas to work in and a lot of different jobs to do. I'm bound to find an area which best suits my skillset.
The Culture
Graduates arranged nights out and I was placed in accommodation with other interns so I could go with them.
Accommodation was provided in albeit in a city with not many students but the amount saved by not paying for a place to stay helped out a lot.
Manchester had a great nightlife and plenty of places to go.
We all took part in the charity challenge and got invited to events to learn more about the business.
