The Role
I had a great time with Arup. Had an opportunity to work with many professionals from different branches of engineering and they were all very friendly and supportive.
I felt well valued while working with Arup. Open and agile working environment allowed me to get to know most of the people working there and they were pretty nice.
I was supervised by numerous people on different projects and had a pretty good and versatile guidance throughout my placement.
I was quite busy as I worked on multiple projects at all times. However, I really enjoyed it and it definitely helped me to get better at what I want to do.
Quite a lot. I was given increasing responsibilities with time and at the very end had an opportunity to work on the same project with a director of my engineering team.
It definitely helped me to deepen my understanding of the structural engineering industry and I feel it will also help to do better in the oncoming year.
The Company
Great, had fun with the coworkers on daily basis, but it was quite serious most of the time.
It was very well organised as I had a chance to work on many projects throughout my placement and always had some stuff to do.
I had an opportunity to attend a few presentations for training purposes and it was quite interesting. But I feel like I could have had more individual training on certain areas.

Company Parties/Events
I really want to come back as I feel like I have a lot to offer for the company and also liked the working environment back there.
The Culture
I was the only placement student in my engineering team but had some good time with students from other teams.
Quite average I would say. Didn't really think of it while I was there.
What nightlife? Sleep is more precious to me.
Of course, and I did, before all my university friends went away for holiday.
