The Role
Enjoyed this placement thoroughly! 100% happy with the working environment, the work-life balance and the superb colleagues who are humble and always helpful. Learnt lots of new technical skills and had extra trainings offered by colleagues who volunteer to help. Very efficient internal working system and not much of bureaucracy.
Was given real client work and was treated as a real member of the team. Given opportunities to explore and dive into a big project. Had a chance to present in front of the team for one project and was involved in the entire brainstorming session.
Had weekly face-to-face meeting with my supervisor and she has been providing me with helpful and truthful tips on how to make the best of the internship - encouraged me to approach people from different teams to get some different types of work. She also helped collect reviews from colleagues I worked with during the mid review and help me analyse what I could work on further to better my experience.
Pretty balanced - intense during working hours, but hardly ever stay back for any client work(unless it's my own intern project). Deadlines are most of the time negotiable and people always offer help when I tell them I cannot meet a pressing deadline - not stressful at most times/
Had a chance to be involved in a pitch - did background and initial research and was responsible for briefing everyone before the brainstorming session started - was given opportunity to write a small part of the real proposal. Had lots of opportunities working on important client work - with a colleague reviewing afterwards.
Skills: -Improved my excel skills greatly, was taught VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH and many other formulae by colleagues who worked with me. Had one-to-one training on Monte Carlo(even though it was not required in any of the tasks) Training: -A large pool of online trainings which I could choose to do during my free time- very useful -had a brief training on all aspects of the service line and benchmarking basics - would have been even better if there were more formal technical trainings
The Company
Very cheerful, relaxing, inclusive. There are always snacks for people to share and take a break for. If you want to take a small break you can always go the coffee area and chat with your colleagues, if you prefer staying alone and recharge there are plenty of rooms for you to spend some time alone. Never felt intense or stressed in the office.
Very well-organised from the start to the end - everything was set-up so quickly on the first day of work - colleagues were expecting the interns and were ready to help - had useful introductions about different business areas to help me get on with the work - charity project was well-facilitated - overall, great!
-Access to loads of training videos -Technical training offered by colleagues -(Brief) Training on each business area Was satisfied with the amount, but could have been better with more formal technical trainings

Working from home
Have not heard the final decision so not much to say about this. But judging from what the colleagues shared, most interns get a return offer, as long as they have tried their best and performed well during the internship. The good thing is that you get a mid-review where you hear honest feedback from people you worked with - that helps you identify the areas that you need to work on.
The Culture
Indeed. Had lots of fun running around and doing charity projects with the fellow interns and forged good friendship even though not all of us work with each other directly. Very good dynamics within the team, most were happy to help. Had several intern drinks after work and intern lunches on weekdays - thoroughly enjoyed them!
It is in central London and transport is no doubt expensive. Other than that, the company canteen price is reasonable and drinks at bars nearby at charged at a rather reasonable price.
Several bars and pubs around the office and we always drop by the bar near the Thames river - with great view and reasonable price.
Team Volunteering activity where everyone takes a day off to get in involved in volunteering together - did not stay long enough to experience more but heard from colleagues about their team camp and marathons and other activities - also there is free Yoga class every Monday afternoon - also had loads of fundraising events organised by the interns
