The Role
Great opportunity, to start a career in banking. Great team and caring senior management.
From the first day on, I was involved in all processes and got immediate feedback. This was very helpful to improve my personal skills.
Whenever I had a question or struggled with a task, I could ask one of my colleagues to help me.
It depended on business needs. But I was never forced to stay long for an exercise that was not urgent at all. I could be quite flexible with regard to working hours.
My responsibilities grew with the skills I developed. Initially, I got easy tasks, but at the end of the internship, my tasks were more difficult and required more responsibilities.
Being well-organised and working in time, will help me to be more successful in my studies. In addition, I have developed a certain resistance to pressure.
The Company
Very good, excellent colleagues. Friendly atmosphere.
Well-structured - from the first day on, HR gave us an overview about the programme and we could always reach out to them if we had a problem.
We had a three days training and some teach-in sessions in between. This was very helpful to understand the full business model of the bank

Very attractive. I would love to join Barclays.
The Culture
I was the only one from my uni in Germany - however, there is a large German community I got in touch with.
Not really expensive - usual London prices.
