  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Great opportunity, to start a career in banking. Great team and caring senior management.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • From the first day on, I was involved in all processes and got immediate feedback. This was very helpful to improve my personal skills.

  • Whenever I had a question or struggled with a task, I could ask one of my colleagues to help me.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • It depended on business needs. But I was never forced to stay long for an exercise that was not urgent at all. I could be quite flexible with regard to working hours.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • My responsibilities grew with the skills I developed. Initially, I got easy tasks, but at the end of the internship, my tasks were more difficult and required more responsibilities.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Being well-organised and working in time, will help me to be more successful in my studies. In addition, I have developed a certain resistance to pressure.

  • Very good, excellent colleagues. Friendly atmosphere.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Well-structured - from the first day on, HR gave us an overview about the programme and we could always reach out to them if we had a problem.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We had a three days training and some teach-in sessions in between. This was very helpful to understand the full business model of the bank

  • I was the only one from my uni in Germany - however, there is a large German community I got in touch with.

  • Not really expensive - usual London prices.
