The Role
Varied and interesting work as well working with friendly and approachable people all keen to help you learn. Office in a nice area.
Was given a variety of work and plenty to do by colleagues.
Everyone was keen to help out and answer any questions.
Very busy, lots to do, always a long to do list!
Basically given similar work to recent graduates and you were treated just like another employee, so yes good level of responsibility.
Definitely improve my mathematical ability with all the hand calc and I am sure that will help when I go back to university
The Company
Friendly, approachable, inclusive.
Once I got to the office it was well set up, however applying and the interview process was very long and not particularly well organised. I applied in November and didn't hear anything till May, filling out all the onboarding forms seemed over complicated, especially the background check which took a long time as obviously as a student you don't have 5 years employment history for them to check!
Definitely helped me to develop and gave me the appropriate training.
Sports and Social Club
Very appealing, I would very much like to work for this company after graduating if it was offered.
The Culture
Was one of only two interns in my office and the other was in a different department and very busy and there was no social scene with other interns.
I lived at home for the placement so it wasn't expensive for me.
Not great
a few, there was a once a week running club
