The Role
Had a Fantastic Year, given substantial work, trusted to deliver given reassurance and guidance when needed.
All contributions welcomed by colleagues across the business.
Great Support networks, placement Sponsor (Line Manager), Placement Managers (Rotations), Scheme Advisor (HR) and 2nd year Graduates acting as buddies. All very helpful and support given no what the situation.
The nature of my work has peaks and troughs, throughout my year I have had extreme peaks, and some troughs, although work can always been found if you actively request it.
By the end of the placement, I had been given total control of my work and was accountable for its completion and delivery, Guidance was readily available if there was ever something I didn't know, was unsure on, or just wanted to have sounded aloud.
Totally prepared to go back to university knuckle down and get the best grade possible. When entering the jobs market post university, I feel I have a strong skillset that will make me an attractive graduate hire.
The Company
Worked across several offices, some were very social and involved going to the local bar several times a week, others were quieter and people tended not to socialise outside of work. That said all office environments in work times were relaxed, professional and instilled good relationships
Some elements of the schemes could do with better planning, but on the whole TfL is a fantastic place to work, and provide graduates/ Year in Industries with a well organised graduate experience.
Heavily - able to undertake all relevant training for role, and able to take relevant exams and gain memberships/ personal qualifications.
