The Role
I was faced with really interesting projects, that I did not expect to have a chance working with. The learning experience was as people say and this together with incredible team and interns made the experience very enjoyable.
We had absolutely incredible team in TMT group. I couldn't have asked for better fellow interns and it was really nice to come to work every day knowing that you're going to have fun there. In addition, staying long into the night wasn't so bad with good company.
It was really easy to approach my managers and ask them for guidance. Never ever did they laugh at my questions but instead faced them with respect and took their time to thoroughly explain everything to me.
Sure most of the days were really hectic and there were weeks when I worked way more than I thought was humanly possible. However, the work always came in waves and sometimes there was lots to do and sometimes it was more quiet. It's good as it gives you time to catch breath.
You are really responsible of your own work. You want to be able to deliver all the time and even if ultimately the guy above you is responsible of your work, he is usually such a nice fellow that you don't want to let him down.
The amount of attention to detail you learn here will definitely help in everything going forward. Furthermore, all the other skills such as excel, powerpoint, research, communication etc. skills are easily transferable to any other job, should you want to pursue another career.
The Company
In our group we had probably one of the best cultures of entire Citi. We had really "strict" casual Friday which was something that often lacked completely in other teams. Furthermore, we went karting, grabbed drinks and lunch and did many fun things with our team. The atmosphere is relaxed, yet you have to do your work well.
Everything seemed to be well though of. We had good flow of work and this together with all the events HR organized for us kept the summer really enjoyable. Definitely A+
I feel they invested a lot of time in me. Way more than expected. It still amazes me that some people took hours off their time just to teach me how to use some of the tools.

Compared to many other banks Citi is hiring a lot people, which is definitely a good sign. Also compared to the financial crisis in 2009 the bank has recovered very well and is only going stronger forward.
The Culture
The team spirit between interns was absolutely amazing. There was no rivalry or competition or anything like that but instead everyone helped each other. One of the most memorable things this summer was how one of the interns in our group realized that she cannot complete her task in time and as a result all the other interns dropped their worked just to help her out. It was great example of teamwork.
London is of course expensive city. Enough said.
Canary Wharf's night life is non-existent, but there are lots of pubs where people go for afterworks.
To be honest, not really but then again I did not really take time to research.
