The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at BlackRock, the work was diverse and interesting, and the atmosphere around the office was superb.
I was given a lot of responsibility to go away and complete tasks/projects on my own.
My line manager was fantastic during my time at BlackRock and after leaving BlackRock. Any training or additional information that I needed was provided to me.
At certain times of the month I was border line 'too busy' but at the same time this is what made the job enjoyable because it meant that I was never bored.
Given lots of responsibility from day 1 which was great because it instantly made me feel like the company had confidence in me and my abilities.
The skills that I have learned and knowledge that I have gained will be instrumental in later years because they are all so transferable.
The Company
The atmosphere was fantastic in the office, it was a great team to work for.
I was the first 12 month internship to take place at BlackRock so there were a couple of teething problems but these have now all been sorted out.
I was given great training throughout my time with the company.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I had a fantastic time at BlackRock and would love to return on the graduate programme.
The Culture
There were numerous nights out throughout the year that were great in helping to get to know the team.
Expensive for a university student.
The nightlife was good, but very different to that of university nightlife.
There were a couple of charity events that you could get involved with and numerous sports teams that you could join.
