The Role
I get far more enjoyment from my internship than I was expecting. My internship is the combination of great working environment, steep learning curve, friendly colleagues, and collaborative working style.
I personally think I am valued and trusted by my colleagues. We interns have real responsibilities, as well as interesting tasks to handle.
At Lloyds, all interns have access to supports from graduates and even senior staffs. However, bear in mind that the senior staff can be really busy, so they may not have enough time to teach you everything. Most of the time, you have to find out the answer on your own.
My working hour is from 8:30 A.M to 6:00 P.M, so we have a good balance between work and social.
Pretty Much. However, I don't think interns have a handy amount of work to do, due to the lack of in-depth knowledge and experiences within the industry.
My skills developed significantly, and that definitely assist me in my degree studies.
The Company
Really collaborative working environment.
The structure of the internship is really good, especially at Global Corporate.
I have not hear feedback from the Emerging Talent Team regarding whether I can stay at Lloyds, so I am not sure. Because I am one of the few international students who intern at Lloyds, and I did a great job. So If I can get an offer, at least it shows that Lloyds is fair company who are willing to sponsor talents from overseas?
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
I would definitely join Lloyds if I got the offer.
The Culture
Yes, absolutely. We work really hard, but we also have drinks together a lot.
Lloyds's office is based in central London, so it must be expensive.
There are plenty of bars, restaurants, and shopping areas around my office.
Yes, there are plenty if you have extra energy.
